The Tuscaloosa Council 4083 of the Knights of Columbus will again have Trunk or Treat at Holy Spirit Church on Friday, Oct 28, in and around the parish hall from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. This is a family-friendly alternative to going door-to-door. We plan to have atleast 25 trunks plus games, activities, and concessions. Admission is $7 per child. Holy Spirit Church is located at 733 James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway; Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. Tickets will be on sale after Masses at Holy Spirit, from the church office during the week, or at the event. We will host a Tailgate Party on Friday, Oct 21, at the KC Hall from 6:00pm – 10:00pm. The party will include an all you can eat Bar-B-Q buffet with pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, chips, drinks and adult beverage. Come wearing your team colors and join us for some fun and fellowship with member Knights and football fans from both teams as we prepare for a great football game. Admission is $10 for Adults and $7 for Children. Our KC Hall is located behind Holy Spirit Church at 733 James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway; Tuscaloosa, AL 35405. The Knights, Ladies, and parishioners of Holy Spirit will be participating in 40 Days for Life, an international pro-life campaign, on the 5 Mondays in October from 7am – 7pm. The first Monday is October 3. We still have some times where help is needed standing vigil outside of the abortion clinic at 3pm, 4pm, and 5pm. If you’re able to help on the Mondays in October (or any day during the 40 days), please contact Ryan Marks at 210-9210 or ryan@40daysforlife.tuscweb.com. If you’re unable to come out to the vigil, please pray and fast with us during the 40 days and tell your friends. The campaign runs from Wednesday, 9/28 – Sunday, 11/6.
In preparation of 40 Days for Life which begins on Wednesday, we will be participating in 40 Hours of Adoration beginning at 9am Monday and running through 11:59pm Tuesday in the Holy Spirit Chapel. The schedule is almost full, but if you are able to help, especially in the early morning hours on Tuesday, please contact Mary Lake at 454-4596. Even if the times you’re available are taken by someone else, you’re welcome to stop in at any time.

There were 2 applications for membership: Ezekiel N. and Julio P. Both approved. There were two 4th degree transfers: Mark H. from Mobile and Joe M. from Memphis

The meeting was called to order at 7pm by the Faithful Navigator.
The opening ceremony was per protocol.
The opening ode was “America the Beautiful”, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The prayer was offered by the Faithful Admiral.
The Faithful Comptroller called the roll. All officers present except Faithful friar. Faithful Captain, Faithful Purser, Faithful Outside Sentinel and all three Faithful Trustees.
