The Honor Guard of Assembly 2527 stood in honor of Sir Knight Richard E. Primrose on Saturday and Sunday. The Honor Guard was commanded by Color Corps Coordinator Sir Knight Frank Baier.

Richard Earle PrimroseRichard Primrose, an 81 year old resident of Duncanville, died Wednesday June 9th at 4:50 PM.
He was bom May 16, 1929 in Nashua New Hampshire
He served in the US Marine Corps from June 14, 1946 , attaining the rank of Corporal and rifle sharpshooter and was also on the Paris Island Boxing Team. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal & Presidential Testimonial and was honorably discharged on June 13, 1949.
He attended Bentley’s School of Accounting in Boston, Massachusetts, but found his career in sales, from being the Home Office Representative for Look Magazine for the entire east coast to retiring as an independent Insurance Broker.
Richard, also served as Chapter Chairman, producer and Lead actor in several plays performed by the Greater Boston Association For Retarded Citizens in Everett, Massachusetts where he received an Official Citation from the Everett Mayor and City Council.
He was very proud of being a US Marine and served in civilian life as a two term Marine Corps League Commandant in Bradenton, Florida, where his league obtained the Meritorious Medal. He also joined the Marine Corps League in Sun City Center, Florida and in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is a life time member of the Marine Corps League and the American Legion and a forth degree in the Knights of Columbus of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Primrose, two sons, Scott Primrose of Allendale, New Jersey and Richard Primrose of Boston, Massachusetts and two grandchildren, Melissa & Ryan Primrose of Allendale, New Jersey, and one surviving sister, Norma Lewerenz of Keller, Texas, plus two nieces, Wendy
Davids of Kingston, N. Y. and Suzanne Mass of Keller, Texas, a Grand Niece, Sarah Lefever, and Great Grand Nephew, Jacob Wadlington.
